Easy Oreo Truffles

I got this off of allrecipes.com   I used the recipe but I'll put what we did to change it at the bottom.  (not really all that different)
1 (16 ounce) package of oreos, divided
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 (8 ounce) packages of Baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use.  (Cookies can also be crushed in a ziploc with a rolling pin)  Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl.  Add cream cheese; mix until well blended.  Roll cookie mix into 42 balls, about 1inch in diameter.
Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature)  Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.  Store leftover truffles covered in refrigerator.

I bought the regular package of oreos and it was much bigger than this recipe called for so I doubled the cream cheese and just made a double batch.  I didn't use the baker's chocolate, I used three different types of chocolate chips; white chocolate, milk chocolate, and semi-sweet.  We all preferred it with the white chocolate.  Also we didn't keep any cookies to sprinkle over them at the end.  Oh and it helps to refrigerate them a little bit before you dip them.

Enjoy!
